Embassy Group announces Embassy Pedal for the Planet 2016, 3rd edition of Bengaluru’s flagship cycling event

Trendsetting cycling event to be hosted at Embassy Springs, Bengaluru’s largest integrated masterplanned city

Bangalore, India – August 11, 2016: Embassy Group, India’s leading real estate developer, announces the 3rd edition of their pioneering event, Embassy Pedal for the Planet in Bengaluru.

Embassy Group is in the business of enhancing lifespaces and enriching lives, backed by its commitment to sustainability and green living. Through Embassy Pedal for the Planet, the aim is to encourage cycling and take a step toward creating a cleaner, greener planet. The event was initially launched with the intention to build vibrant communities within office parks, but is now also open to general public who are passionate about cycling and want to do their bit for the environment.

The event will take place on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at 5:30 am from Embassy Springs, Devanahalli, Bengaluru and will be open to all cycling and fitness enthusiasts, from various age groups. ‘Embassy Pedal for the Planet’ will include 10 types of races. This year for the first time we are introducing the 40 km ProElite ride open to men and women aged above 16 to encourage participation from elite athletes. Apart from this there is the 25 km Amateur ride open to men and women aged above 14, 25 kms Team ride open to men and women aged above 14, 15 km fun ride open to all aged above 18, 6 km fun ride open for youth aged below 18 and lastly, 1 km fun ride open to kids aged below 9. The event supports a social cause that focuses on the education of children from Government schools in the city. All proceeds raised at the event will be donated to Colours of Life, a non-profit organization striving to uplift under privileged children by transforming government schools into institutes of excellence.
