New panchayat office building inaugurated at Bettahalasuru Grama

Bangalore, India – April 6, 2015: The new state-of-the-art office building of the Bettahalasuru Grama Panchayat built by the Embassy Group was inaugurated today by Shri. Krishna Byre Gowda, Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture, Government of Karnataka, in the presence of Shri. Jitu  Virwani, Chairman and Managing Director, Embassy Group and Smt. Akkayamma Thirumalappa, President of Bettahalasuru Grama Panchayat.  Also present on the occasion was Shri Ramalinga Reddy, Honorable Transport Minister and members of the Bettahalasuru Grama Panchayat.

The new office building which covers 6900 square feet has been built by Embassy Group at a cost of 1.2 crore. The new panchayat office has been designed by local architect firm Design Stellar.

Mr. Jitu Virwani, Chairman and Managing Director, Embassy Group said, “We at Embassy Group have always believed in giving back to society and have organised various community development programmes in areas such as health, education, governance, etc. Continuing on the same philosophy of improving the quality of life amongst communities where we are present, we have constructed a new panchayat office building in the Bettahalasuru Grama with better infrastructure and facilities, which will help the panchayat to work more effectively for the welfare of the people.”

Shri Krishna Byre Gowda, Honorable Minister for Agriculture said, “A lot can be spoken about Mr Jitu Virwani.  His contribution towards the development of these villages has led to the government having to do so much less thanks to his vision towards providing modern education facilities and infrastructure development in the two villages of Tarahunse and Bettahalasur. He has built the roads here and ensures that the maintenance of these roads is also taken care of. And the fantastic government school that he has built in Tarahunse, well you need to see it to believe it”. Today you see here a well appreciated modern panchayat office building, true to his commitment to the development of Bettahalasur.
